Welcome to the Michigan Family Cottages website. Regrettably we are not accepting new rentals at this time. We maintain this website for the enjoyment of family, friends and past guests. Located on Lake Mitchell in Cadillac, Michigan, we think we have the best spot on the lake! Lake Mitchell is 2400 acre all sports lake attached to 1300 acre Lake Cadillac. The two lakes are joined by the famous clam canal. This water access gives us and the other residents of West Cadillac quick water access to historic downtown where we are spoiled with shops, cafe's and miles of water life to enjoy!
We love our open views on East Lake Mitchell where we enjoy awesome sunsets. The lakefront sandy beach (where we are frequently visited by our very own pet blue heron) is perfect for swimming, sailing, fishing and water sports, or a jump in the lake from the boat dock. It is great getting the best of both Lake Mitchell and Lake Cadillac being just a stone’s throw from the channel and adjacent state park, which includes a play area and boat ramp.
All guests are expected to experience awesome sunsets while enjoying a beach campfire or step to it up with a paddle boat cruise through the state park or hike. Cooking day and night is not allowed at the cottages. Plan on grilling out or eat out out at one of the many local spots (some just steps away).
Michigan Family cottages was created a spot where friends and family can gather to create great memories. Have fun or don't come!
